Pelican Hill is a luxury wedding venue on the Newport Coast, right off the Pacific Coast Highway. The classic Italian rotunda overlooking the Pacific Ocean makes a pristine backdrop the wedding ceremony.  The perfectly manicured Mediterranean landscaping surrounds the ceremony site, layered with the rolling hills of their world renowned golf course.

Judy and Rodney couldn’t have picked the most perfect venue and day. The Pelican Hill in Newport Beach not only is surrounded by a golf course but it overlooks the beautiful ocean. The staple to this venue is the ginormous gazebo. Although it is a beauty of its own but when flowers and drapes are incorporated it becomes STUNNING!

When we met with Judy & Rodney their look told it all!  I knew their thoughts were these will be our photographers?? Lol. They look so young. At times clients feel that we may not fit the standards and look inexperienced because of how young we look. Since they were a mature couple that can cause some uneasiness.

Once we got the conversation going we connected and laughed they also told us “wow you guys know your stuff” we had to reassure them that although we look young we have been doing this for a while. You can say the rest was history. 

The day of the wedding at the Pelican Hill, Newport getting ready was a breeze. The groom and his best man were boozing it up and enjoying the process. The ladies were calm and sipping on their champagne and discussing the plans for the day. Judy made such a beautiful bride and her dress was stunning.

As the night went on we love to pull our couples for a couple night shots. When I approached Judy she was not really up for it. She did not want to walk down to the gorgeous gazebo because her feet hurt, but when we finally convinced her and took the shot. We showed her a sneak peak and she knew that she made the right move. That photo was one for the books! It was actually one of their favorites. 

That day was spectacular full of love and happiness.
